QEEG Functional Brain Mapping with Evoked Potentials measures the degree of deviation in brain wave activity
from the norm (the standard measurements universally found in the normal population
of the same age group).
This information helps in locating specific types of brain dysfunction and provide
useful information for brainwave training
(Neurofeedback training). It also assists in choosing the most effective medication
based on physiological measurements, and not just clinical symptoms.
QEEG can be used to screen for sub-clinical and emerging cognitive dysfunctions
associated with dementia, alcoholism and drug abuse, and are very useful in court,
when trying to objectively establish or refute the presence of brain damage and
dysfunction.
The Evoked Responses provide additional information on pathology indifferent
locations bellow the surface of the brain, which may cause a conduction delay there.
The battery includes the following tests - EEG, Quantitative EEG (QEEG), as well
as Visual, auditory brainstem and somatosensory brainstem Evoked Response Tests.
